John Hollidge
John
lives 30 miles to the west of London, with his wife, three children, and two
grand-children.
Formally a commercial pilot (17years), including time as a chief flight instructor
and examiner, a charter pilot, and latterly an executive jet captain and chief
pilot, based at London Heathrow.
John entered the local church ministry at Gold Hill Baptist Church in 1983,
where he was part of a large team ministry headed by Rev. Jim Graham. In 1990
John moved to Marlow to pioneer a new church, Marlow Christian Fellowship (MCF)
which he led for a further 13 years.
In 2003 John 'retired' from MCF to develop a wider ministry, seeking opportunities
around the country to teach and speak on the significance of Israel in these
'latter' days. An Area Rep for Christian Friends of Israel, his passion is both
to teach the church about it's Hebrew roots, and to seek to encourage the indigenous
church in the land of Israel - which he has visited nearly 20 times in the last
38 years. His initial visit was with one of the first tour groups to travel
to Israel after the June war of 1967 - with Rev. David Pawson, his pastor at
that time.
John's home and 'sending' church, MCF, is also commited to this idea, supporting
and encouraging John in his gifting in this direction. A reference is available
from the Elders of MCF if requested.
John is available to visit your church home group, or youth group to speak
on these matters. Please consider to cover his expenses for such an endeavour.
